


The
Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) — Science,
Technology and Energy (STE) Division is hosting an Agriculture Energy Conference
on Nov. 17, 2004. The conference will be held at the Auburn University Dixon
Conference Center in Auburn, Ala., and will focus on energy efficiency and renewable
energy technologies and techniques for agriculture with an emphasis on biomass
and biodiesel.
The one-day conference will feature presentations
on energy in the poultry industry, biodiesel, commercialization of bioenergy
and funding opportunities. Energy crop and biomass pelleting demonstrations
will also be included. Agricultural producers, extension agents, university
personnel, government leaders and others interested in agricultural energy are
invited to attend. An agenda and registration may be downloaded by clicking

is required and the fee is $20.
AP&EAwill host a continental breakfast at
the conference.
