The 2004 Breeder/Hatchery Workshop was held on Nov. 2-3 at the Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.

Participants of the event enjoyed a golf outing and afternoon of sporting clays followed by a welcome reception on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday morning, the educational sessions began at 8 a.m. The topics for the day were a disease update, given by Dr. Fred Hoerr; New Line Management; a Hurricane Ivan update by Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Ron Sparks; Managing Pullet Crews, Clear Egg Removal Prior to In Ovo Injection, Conventional vs. Mechanical Nests, Motivating Breeder Growers, and Motivating Hatchery Employees. When the workshop ended several participants took a tour of the new poultry science building.
